York Times, on ABC news, CNN, CBS and many others. Just as
the name suggests, this site contains postings of people begging
for help. For a fee, people post their tales of woe and
ask for help. There is a Pay Pal button to click on and
make a secure donation through Pay Pal. There does not
seem to be any way of verifying whether or not the people asking
for help are actually who they say they are, or if their stories
are true. I wonder how many people are actually searching
the web for someone to give their money to? And further,
will people donate without having any way of verifying that the
people really do need help? It would also be very
interesting to know if people actually receive donations and are
really helped by posting their troubles on this site.
